Free NY Citizen Preparedness Training Coming to Albertson

The Albertson community is invited to attend a free NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program on Monday, September 28 at 2:00 PM at the Shelter Rock Public Library, 165 Searingtown Road, Albertson.

With severe weather and other emergencies becoming an increasing concern, the training is designed to give New Yorkers practical information and resources to help their families prepare for unexpected situations.

Presented through the New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps, the program will cover important preparedness topics, including how to develop a family emergency plan, what emergency supplies to have on hand, and how to respond to and recover from natural and man-made disasters.

Free Preparedness Kit

Each family that attends the training will receive a free preparedness kit containing emergency supplies and resources.
